Fire Mage GSE Macro

Introduction

Today, I've optimized the SUNFURY Fire Mage GSE macro with a focus on improving the casting logic and sequence, especially to minimize any waste of Hot Streak procs.

Please note that the "AOE Opener" character-specific macro, due to the World of Warcraft client’s 255-character limit, cannot fit the full intended sequence. If you want optimal results, it's recommended to manually finish casting Phoenix Flames → Flamestrike → Fire Blast → Flamestrike → Fire Blast → Flamestrike → Shifting Power after using the macro. Otherwise, if you prefer a simpler approach, you can simply proceed into the main GSE macro rotation immediately after the opener.

Usage Scenarios

  • Suitable for all PVE content, including questing, leveling, and soloing.
  • Capable of strong single-target DPS with built-in AOE burst options.

Macro Overview

  • Imports as three macros: SUNFURY_ST, SUNFURY_AOE, and AOE Opener.
  • When starting a fight with cooldowns available, use AOE Opener to unleash maximum initial burst damage.


  • Due to the 255-character limit, the AOE opener does not cover all desired skills. You can manually complete the missing spells, or seamlessly transition into the GSE macros.
  • Both SUNFURY_ST and SUNFURY_AOE automatically include trinket activations and major cooldowns inside the sequence.
  • By default, Combustion will trigger when off cooldown. If you prefer to manually control it, simply delete the “/cast [combat] Combustion” line in Action Block 1.1 of both macros.
